There are two ways through which a candidate can get admission to the second year of B.Tech programme at SIT:

  1. Lateral Entry: Candidates who have completed their Diploma Course/ Diploma in vocational Course from any recognised Polytechnic College, passed Diploma in Vocational stream in the same or allied sector as per AICTE norms, or passed B Sc Degree from a recognised university as defined by UGC with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) and passed H.S.C with mathematics as a subject as per AICTE norms can apply for lateral entry to the second year of B.Tech programme at SIT. Since you got an 19000 rank in AEEE you may have some chance to get admission into Amrita Coimbatore in the state quota for the mechanical branch. Although you will easily get an Aerospace Engineering branch as its cutoff rank is usually above 19,000 rank.

So, you have a chance in Aerospace Engineering.

Unfortunately with your rank and category you do not have chances of getting any IITs. I will suggest you to sit for JoSAA counselling with your JEE Main score, that might fetch you good NITs and IIITs.
