IIT Roorkee announced the GATE 2025 result on March 19, 2025. To check the result, candidates will need to enter their GATE enrollment ID, registered email ID, and date of birth. The GATE exam is very prestigious among engineering and Science graduates. It is conducted every year by one of the IITs among the nine IITs. In 2024, IISc Bangalore conducted the GATE exam. The exam also opens various opportunities for engineering and Science graduates to work in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and in the field of research. A candidate will most likely be allotted a centre in the examination city of his or her first choice. Only in cases where there are too many candidates opting for a certain city as their first choice, the other two choices become relevant. It is to be noted that the candidates of choice modification is free of cost and did not required to pay any fee for it, but the change of in some other details would cost students a fee as mentioned below:
Change in choice of examination cities: Free of cost
Change of existing paper: 500
Add a second paper (from given combinations concerning the primary paper): 500 plus a suitable amount per paper for the candidates category
Change of gender to female: 500
Change of gender from female to any other gender: 500+850 = 1350
Change of category to SC/ST: 500
Change of category from SC/ST to any other: 500 + 850 - 1350
Change from Non-PwD to PwD: 50

- A high-quality image of a candidate's photograph conforming to the specified requirements (File size should be between 2KB and 200KB)
- Good quality image of candidate's signature conforming to the specified requirements (File size should be between 2KB and 150KB)

The GATE 2024 application correction facility will be provided from Novermber 7 to 11. Candidates who wish to make any changes in their GATE application form need to login on the GOAP portal during the correction window and make the required changes. Below, we have listed the steps to edit the GATE 2024 application form. -

  • Visit the official website at gate2024.iisc.ac.in
  • Click on the link GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS)'
  • Now, enter your log-in credentials
  • Make corrections in the GATE application form, as instructed.
  • Click on Save button

Candidates will be required to log in again whenever they can get back online to check their payment status on the GOAPS website. If the payment is received, candidates can print their application form. If the payment was not received by GATE then he or she can also check the status of the transaction from the bank account. If the fee amount has been debited from his or her bank account but GOAPS does not acknowledge any fee payment, then the money will be credited back to their account. After completely filling out the GATE 2023 application form and submitting all the details, you will have to digitally sign and accept the GATE declaration, through which a candidate accepts that all the information provided by a candidate is true. No, a candidate does not need to send a printout of the GATE application form to the organising institute or any other GATE zonal offices. The application process for GATE 2023 is online and requires required documents, details that should be uploaded via the application process.
