No, JEE Advanced is compulsory for admission into any of the 23 IITs across India. To be eligible for JEE Advanced, you first need to qualify JEE Main and rank among the top candidates. The exam tests deeper conceptual understanding in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. Only a limited number of top rankers from JEE Main get a shot at it. There's no alternate entry route for general category students.

JNU M.Tech cutoff 2026 ranged from 327 to 459 for the OBC AI category. As per this range, M.Tech. in Computer Science and Technology was the most sought-after course for admission, with the cutoff being 459. The higher the score, the higher the competition and vice versa. 

Students aiming for admission in the 3rd round should strive to attain a score of at least 327 to be considered for admission.

JNU GATE cutoff 2026 was released up to round 3 for admission to the M.Tech course and its various specialisations.

For the General AI category, the round 3 cutoff was 382 for the M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering course. Admission to the M.Tech. in Computer Science and Technology course was closed in the 2nd round itself, with a minimum score of 573

For the OBC AI category, the minimum R3 score required was 327 for admission to the M.Tech course. See the table below to know the round 3 cutoff range for all other AI categories.

As per the JNU CSE cutoff 2026, EWS AI category candidates have to get a rank of at least 6340 in Round 5. Students with a rank lower than the one mentioned here have a better chance of admission. 

The JNU BTech cutoff 2026 was released up to Round 5 for admission to the BTech course and its branches. Students who gave the JEE Main exam and sat for the counselling process are considered eligible for admission.
