To take admission in aerospace engineering, you can apply through national or state-level entrance exams. With 61 marks in JEE Main and 77 in MHT-CET, top IITs/NITs may be difficult, but you still have good chances in private universities and some state colleges. The process involves filling out application forms, participating in counseling (JoSAA or state counseling), selecting colleges, and completing document verification and fees.
Lovely Professional University accepts JEE Main scores or LPUNEST for B.Tech Aerospace Engineering. With your scores, you are eligible, and you may also get scholarships based on performance, along with g

hi,
Yes, you can apply for B.Tech Aerospace Engineering after completing your civil diploma, but eligibility depends on the university. Many colleges prefer related diplomas (Mechanical/Aeronautical) for lateral entry, so with a Civil diploma you may not always get direct 2nd-year entry. In such cases, you may need to join from 1st year. Some universities still allow lateral entry if you meet their criteria or clear an entrance test.
Lovely Professional University may consider diploma holders for Aerospace through LPUNEST or merit, but eligibility for lateral entry from Civil should be confirmed with admissions.

hi,
Yes, you can still get admission to aerospace engineering even if you didn't score 75% in your polytechnic. Most colleges require around 50–60% minimum marks for lateral entry, not necessarily 75%. Eligibility depends on the specific university and entrance criteria. You may need to appear for a lateral entry test or be admitted based on merit.
Lovely Professional University generally accepts diploma students with qualifying marks (around 60%) for lateral entry into B.Tech Aerospace Engineering through LPUNEST or direct admission, along with scholarship opportunities and strong lab facilities for practical learning.

hi,
Yes, you can definitely switch to aerospace engineering after completing your mechanical diploma. Most universities allow lateral entry, so you can join directly in 2nd year (3rd semester) of B.Tech Aerospace Engineering instead of starting from 1st year. Eligibility usually requires a relevant diploma (like Mechanical) with minimum marks, followed by entrance test or merit-based admission.
Lovely Professional University offers lateral entry into Aerospace Engineering based on diploma performance or LPUNEST. It provides modern labs, experienced faculty, and industry exposure, making it a good option for diploma students aiming to shi

hi,
Scoring high marks in Class 12 alone is not enough to get admission into Indian Institutes of Technology. IITs have a strict admission process—you must qualify JEE Main and then clear JEE Advanced to secure a seat in any B.Tech course, including aerospace engineering. Board marks are only used for eligibility, not selection.
As an alternative, Lovely Professional University allows admission based on Class 12 performance or LPUNEST, without compulsory JEE. It offers aerospace programs, modern labs, and scholarships, making it a practical option for students who did not appear for JEE.
