Yes, the University of Victoria requires international students to submit their IELTS test score to prove proficiency in the English language. However, besides IELTS, international students can submit the test scores of othern English test such as TOEFL. Check below the minimum English language requirement for international students applying for the University of Victoria.

Duolingo English Test is similar to IELTS examination. In easier words, it is a test to judge a candidate's ability to read, speak, listen and write various operations in English Language. The result of this test is accepted by most widely known universities and institutions.
This examination is conducted within one hour only, and can be taken from any part of the world behind the desktop or a laptop screen .
The examination is divided into four sections, which is same as IELTS - Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.
Students can check their results for this examination within two days after appearing for the examination.

Yes it does accept UC Merced for international students. International students must submit a proof of English Language proficiency to be considered for Columbia University admission ( especially non-english speaking countries). Students can demonstrate that they are proficient in English by submitting the English proficiency test scores.

Unlike the scheduled dates for test centers, the TOEFL Home Edition offers greater flexibility. Candidates can choose their preferred date and time when booking their test, providing a personalized testing experience. All the courses at North Island College rae mostly taught in English. Therefore each applicant is required to submit North Island College IELTS requirement.
English Language Requirements
International students need any of these exam scores as proof of English proficiency:
