English is generally a skill and the knowledge of it will certainly give you an edge over others. The teaching of it can be taken as a profession. Or, English can be learnt for communication purposes. The choice is yours. But, have a proficiency, at any cost. It is also a part of the etiquette also.

Yes, you can study literally anything you want if you are truly interested in it. You can pursue interior designing however for admissions universities will ask for a portfolio or sample of your work. Go for it if you are interested to have a career in interior designing and if you believe you have the creative side in you.
