UGC NET is conducted at national level by the National Testing Agency for those candidates who want to become assistant professor or researcher. It is important for a candidate to meet the eligibility criteria including the education qualification, age limits, etc. which vary depending on whether they are applying for the Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). To apply for MHCET Law exam, you must be an Indian citizen. For 5-year LLB, you need to pass 12th class from a recognised board. For 3-year LLB, you must have a graduation degree in any stream. There's no upper age limit. Candidates waiting for results can also apply for MHCET Law exam.

The AIBE 21 (XXI) eligibility criteria remained the same. Here are the AIBE exam eligibility criteria in the table below:

Qualifying exam

Candidates who have passed or are in final year of a three-year LLB or five-year LLB degree are eligible to appear for the AIBE exam. Therefore, the academic qualifying exam for AIBE candidates is 

  1. 3-year LLB degree,  OR
  2. 5-year integrated LLB degree

Minimum marks in qualifying exam

The BCI mentions no minimum marks are required for appearing in the AIBE exam. However,  a candidate must secure a minimum percentage or grades in their law degree as prescribed by universities for further education. 

Age limit for AIBE exam

There is no upper or lower age limit for appearing in the All India Bar Examination. 

State Bar Council Registration/Enrollment 

A candidate who has not registered with their State Bar Councils as an Advocate can apply. As State Bar Council enrollment is no more mandatory for AIBE eligibility.

It is possible that Jamia Millia Islamia changes the eligibility requirements for admission to a course through JMI entrance exam. Therefore, candidates who wish to get admission at JMI must check official admission prospectus for current year and check the JMI eligibility criteria for desired course.

The BCI changed the AIBE Eligibility Criteria 2026. From this year onwards, candidates in 3-year or 5-year law programmes without a back log are eligible to apply. Also, candidates who have enrolled with BCI can also apply.

Yes, students can change or correct their eligibility details for NCHMCT JEE 2026 exam, but only during the correction period given by National Testing Agency (NTA).

Yes. You are eligible under the Residency Criteria. You must provide Proforma 'a1' (certified by a competent authority) proving you have resided in the state continuously for at least 10 years. You do not need to prove your parents' residency if you meet this 10-year requirement yourself.
