The entrance exams into the Master of Arts in English vary from place to place. For instance, for 2024 the crucial exams are CUET PG, which will go ahead from March 11-28, 2024. Some universities may conduct their entrance exams; though the dates will be on varying times. For instance, TISSNET is held in the 4th week of February 2024. You should check for the dates at the institutes you are applying to since they may have different timelines and requirements for their MA English programs.

Yes, but that is institution-specific and dependent upon the institution and its admission requirements. Some universities or colleges conduct their own entrance exams, and some colleges or universities allow admission based on merit, interviews, etc. CUET is only for central universities in India, so it is not necessary for private universities, state universities, or for colleges that have their processes. You have to check for the course- and institution-specific eligibility and admission criteria, which you must contact with the relevant authorities or check out on their official website.

I think you must have to prioritize one of them, like boards first or JEE exam first, and focus on one of them more sincerely but with decent preparation. Most people spend most of the time in preparing for competitive exams and a decent score of 75 percent in boards.
