GITAM University conducts its own entrance test for BSc admissions called GITAM Aptitude Test (GAT). The test consists of three sections and all questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions). Each question has four options of which one is correct. Each correct answer will be awarded 2 marks. The wrong answer and unanswered questions will receive nil marks. Tabulated below is the GAT exam pattern:

GITAM School of Technology conducts GAT exam to test students for admission to various courses including BSc. This exam is generally held in many different cycles. The university has announced the dates for the upcoming GAT Phase 7. The GAT exam date for Phase 7 is 30 Jun, 2024.

IGNOU offers admission to the B.Ed programme only once a year through an entrance exam. IGNOU conducts the B.Ed entrance exam once a year to provide admission to eligible candidates into the B.Ed program. The IGNOU B.Ed entrance exam for 2024 was held on January 7, 2024. The application process for the 2024 exam started on December 12, 2023 and the last date to apply was January 3, 2024 (with a late fee of ?200). The IGNOU B.Ed entrance exam is conducted in an offline, computer-based test (CBT) mode and lasts for 2 hours.

Information regarding the entrance exam marks for admission to Certificate courses is not available with DICE School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts. The institute states that the candidate, in order to get admission to the UG course in Hospitality Management will have to apply online or by post, after which there will be a personal interview, followed by declaration of results. No such things need to be done for Certificate courses.

As per the VIT Andhra Pradesh University admission guidelines, entrance exam is not required to get admitted to the BA-MA course. Admission to VIT Andhra Pradesh University is determined by candidates' performance in their last qualifying exam. There are no entrance exams for the BA-MA course. Once candidates are shortlisted based on the merit list, they will be invited for admission. The eligibility and selection criteria for VIT Andhra Pradesh BA admission in 2024 are provided below:

Eligibility Criteria: Class 12 with a minimum 60% aggregate (50% for Jammu and Kashmir/North Eastern States of India/SC/ST Community)

For admission to MLR Institute of Technology, the entrance exam scores accepted vary depending on the programme. Here are the list of entrance exam scores accepted by MLRIT for different programs for few courses:

  1. BTech Program: The college accepts TS EAMCET, TS ECET scores for admission to the BTech programme. Candidates must pass Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects.
  2. MBA Program: MLRIT accepts entrance scores of TSICET for the MBA programme.
  3. MTech Program: Aspiring students must appear for and qualify the GATE, TS PGECET scores for admission to the M.Tech programme.

For admission to the M.Tech course at MLR Institute of Technology, students need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. The selection criteria for this course are entrance-based and candidates must pass BE/BTech/AMIE with a 50% aggregate or equivalent conducted by the University. Candidates who have not completed BE/BTech/AMIE with a 50% aggregate are not eligible for admission.

GCET accepts GUJCET for seat allocation to BTech courses. The GUJCET 2024 Cutoff was released for Round 1, for different categories under the AI and the HS Quota. For the General HS category candidates, the toughest course was BTech in Computer Engineering. The Cutoff for the same closed at 2690. The easiest course for the General HS category candidates was BTech in Civil Engineering, with the closing Cutoff of 38137

For the OBC HS category candidates, the Cutoff ranks ranged between 4629 and 37562. The competition was the highest in BTech in Computer Engineering and the lowest in BTech in Electrical Engineering.

No, MLR Institute of Technology do not accept JEE Mains score for the BTech course. The selection criteria for the course is TS EAMCET, TS ECET. For more detailed on eligibility students can check the points mentioned below:

  • A total of 70% of the seats are allotted based on the merit in the Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAPCET) conducted by Govt. of Telengana /Andhra Pradesh. Similarly,  30% of the seats are earmarked for Management / NRI candidates.
  • In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted in second year of BTech to the extent of 20% of intake based on the merit in the Engineering Common Entrance Test
