IIT Delhi MTech admission is completely entrance-based. Candidates seeking admission to the IIT Delhi M.Tech course must appear for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). However, BTech graduates from IITs with an overall CGPA of 8.00 out of 10 are exempted from GATE and are eligible for direct admissions. The GATE closing time for both the B.Des and M.Des courses is 9.30 am (30 minutes before the commencement of the exam), after which no candidate will be allowed inside the exam centre.

The NIDs offer a full-time B.Des programme of 4-year duration, and a full-time M.Des programme of two-and-half years duration.

Minimum eligibility includes passing 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

The university also conducts its own entrance test called the Graphic Era University Entrance Test (GEUT) for admission to B.Tech programs. GEUT is a computer-based test that assesses candidates' aptitude in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English.

According to the official website, D.Y. Patil Agriculture and Technical University accepts MHT-CET for admission to BSc in Agriculture Science. The tentative exam date for MHT-CET is in April.
