Students from India do not need to submit an SAT score to be eligible for admission. The University does, however, ask for the following scores for admissions:
- GRE or GMAT
- IELTS or TOEFL

Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University (DSMRU) accepts Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores for admission to Master of Business Administration. Candidates must have completed a bachelor's degree in any field with at least 50% marks to be eligible for admission to the MBA program at DSMRU. The admission process for Master of Business Administration at DSMRU is based on the CUET scores conducted by National Test Agency for all UG programs.

Almost every NLU has some NRI quota seats.Also some NIRF ranked law colleges like Symbiosis have NRI quota.
Through CLAT scores, the national law universities will offer over 2800 seats in UG law programmes and around 1000 seats in LLM programmes.
The NRI candidates are also eligible for appearing in CLAT. They may select their category as NRI for taking benefits of the NRI category.Under the NRI, NRI-S, and FN categories, NLUs offer approximately 283 seats.

The admission to all the programmes is based on the candidate’s score in the written entrance test conducted by the institute.
- For admission to all courses offered, the institute conducts a written test of allied discipline followed by an aptitude test and a grammar test
- Shortlisted candidates are further called for an institute-level GD and PI round
- Candidates seeking admission to UG courses through sports quota need to appear for Sports Management Admission Test (SMAT) conducted by International Institute of Sports Management
- Candidates seeking admission to the PG courses through sports quota need to appear for MAH-CET

For the selection process for an MBA degree:
You must have secured 50% in your bachelor's degree of a minimum of 3 years. For the Reserved category, it is 45%.
For admission, you must have cleared any national-level exam like the CAT or you can opt for an entrance exam done by the university.
After clearing the exam you will get a call for an interview. You will get admission only after clearing the interview.
Entrance test weightage is 60% while for an interview it is 40%.
