Common Admission Test CAT results are used by certain institutions to determine who gets admitted to various managements programmes. This is more typical of business schools though.

Yes, MAT is one of the accepted entrance exams for MBA at EMPI Business School. In addition to MAT, EMPI Business School also accepts CAT, XAT, CMAT, and ATMA scores.
