The authorities will prepare the questions in the MET English section to assess the candidate's fundamental knowledge in English language, grammar and usage. Since the candidates will be assessed on their primary knowledge of word usage, matching of subject and verbs, correct usage of tenses, and grammatically correct sentences acceptable in standard written communication, the following books can be referred to:

Since MET syllabus is similar to 12th class qualifying examination, candidates can study from NCERT books for preparation. Along with NCERT books, candidates can also study from top recommended books and reference materials.

Yes. Mock tests are considered very essential for the MET preparation process. By solving mock tests, the candidates will have a better understanding of the exam pattern and how the examination will be held. It is not mandatory to attend or to appear for both the sessions of JEE Mains examination. National testing agency has already clarified about this. However there is advantage for the student. Even if a student appears for both the sessions his best results in either of the sessions will be considered for finding out his final results for declaration of percentile and ranking. However, in case of many students due to circumstances perhaps beyond their means they sometimes are not able to appear for a session. Sikkim Manipal University accepts CAT, MAT, GMAT, CMAT, or university-level entrance. The selection is done on basis of academic record, work experience, and GDPI. You must also meet the minimum eligibility of the course.

For MET preparation, candidates should prepare a study timetable. Candidates have to finish syllabus before exam date. Mock tests and sample paper should be included in daily study plan. Candidates should also revise every day.

The following is the SAT syllabus for Algebra, tested in the Maths section:
- Linear equations in one variable
- Linear equations in two variables
- Linear functions
- Systems of two linear equations in two variables
- Linear inequalities in one or two variables
Moreover, Algebra measures the student's ability to analyse, fluency in solving, and creating linear equations as well as analse and solve equations easily along with the equation system using various techniques. The Official Digital SAT Study Guide is the bible. Get that one. Barron's is also decent. Ensure it is the new edition for digital. Old paper books are useless now. The math syllabus has been changed.
