There are around 60+ best Diploma in Fashion Designing colleges in Delhi. Of these, 29 colleges are privately owned and 7 colleges are owned by public/government organisations. Students can secure admission after passing Class 12 boards or through entrance exams like NIFT Entrance Exam. Some of the top Diploma in Fashion Design colleges in Delhi include NIFT Delhi, JD Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi YMCA, Institute for Fashion Technology and Design, IGNOU, Indian Institute of Gems and Jewellery, Delhi, Apeejay Institute of Design, South Delhi Polytechnic for Women, Polytechnic for Women, INIFD, West Delhi, Xaviers Institute of Business Management Studies, Delhi Institute of Fashion and Technology (DIFT), Janki Devi Vocational Centre, and many others.

The participating institutes of NIFTs offer a 4-year B.FTech programme. Admission to the programme is based on GAT scores. The NIFT 2025 GAT question paper for the programme will be of 180 minutes and will be bilingual. Candidates will have the option to take the exam either in English or Hindi. The question type will be multiple-choice. The question paper will have a total of 150 questions. Questions will be asked from the following FIVE sections - Communication Ability and Comprehension, Case Study, Quantitative Ability, Analytical & Logical Ability, and GK and Current Affairs. The mode of NIFT 2025 exam for the GAT paper will be computer-based-test (or CBT).

It is important for the candidate to note that mock tests and sample papers have very different purposes. For instance, sample papers are meant to be used in conjunction with early exam preparation. Once can start solving sample papers in the very first week itself, usually after completing a topic a chapter. The sample papers will allow the candidate to improve their understanding of concepts and problem-solving skills. Time management is another skill one can develop by solving sample papers. 

Mock tests are on the other hand are tools to help the candidate get an exam-like ambience and understand the question paper structure. Typically, mock tests are taken and are more effective in the last few days leading up to the exam.

The NIFT Situation Test will evaluate the candidate on the following parameters: Concept development, which evaluates how one has answered the main subject of the question while remaining creative at its core. Whether the candidate is able to beautifully and intelligently convert the concept into a design/ product? How real-life is the 3D model? How much innovation is required to create the model. The amount of material exploration, experimentation and treatment given to otherwise simple craft raw material. Is the student able to explain the concept in the write up. If the student able to combine different types of materials considering their texture and weight. If the materials usage appropriate. Whether the student is able to utilise the resources not only in variety but also in quantity, that is, managing the limited supply.

The admit card for NIFT will contain the important guidelines that candidates need to follow at the NIFT 2026 exam centre. Additionally, also check out the NIFT admission portal before the exam.

Here are some key points related to exam-day instructions to be followed at the exam center: The candidate needs to report at the NIFT exam centre one hour before the commencement of the exam. The candidate can't leave the exam hall until the exam ends. Entry to the exam centre will only be allowed when the candidate produces their id card and a valid photo id proof. The candidate must refrain from adopting unfair means inside the exam hall, including cheating, etc. For the CAT the candidate will have to bring along stationery items like blue or black ballpoint pen, HB pencils, eraser, sharpener and dry colours.
