Yes, you can get admission to BDes Fashion Design course in several IITs that offer the course, through UCEED exam. The exam is conducted by IIT Bombay every year. There are six IITs that accept UCEED score for admission to BDes courses. These are IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad,  IIITDM Jabalpur and IIT Roorkee.

However, a student's pay is also influenced by their academic performance, the college they attend, and the employer they work for. Based on the work location and experience of the candidates, the average starting salary for BDes Fashion Design graduates is around INR 3.5-6 LPA. The starting pay for fresh graduates is more in cities such as Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Pune and Gurgaon which hosts many top fashion brands.

Students must have completed 10+2 or any equivalent exam in any discipline. Students must have a minimum score of 50 per cent in the general category and 55 per cent for the SC/SC/OBC category at the 10+2 level. Students should also qualify for the entrance exam if any, for a particular College or University selected by them. They must also the Design Aptitude Test in order to be eligible to pursue course in various design institutes.
