No. The NIIFT authorities have not specified any age limit. However, make sure that you go through the academic and other requirements. Note that unless the candidate meets the prescribed criteria, he or she will not be considered for admission to the design courses offered by the institute.

Yes. Candidates awaiting their results can apply but the student needs to have all their mark sheets and should provide the certificate before the classes commence.

The candidate can select their programme of study at the time of filling out the application form. The allotment of seats will be based on merit of NIIFT 2026 entrance exam.

NIIFT entrance exam pattern for UG design courses is such that the question paper is divided into five sections – Quantitative Ability, Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Analytical Ability, and Creative Ability.

The candidate has to prepare for all the sections to get a good score in the NIIFT exam.

NIIFT is a national level entrance exam conducted by the Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology (NIIFT). The design exam is conducted once a year. The candidate needs to appear in the exam as per the schedule released by the institute.

Note that application forms for the exam will be accepted in online mode.

Application fee for NIIFT for general candidates is INR 1,750 and for SC/ST/PH candidates is INR 440. It has to be paid at time of filling application form. If fee is not paid, then form will be incomplete. Fee has to be paid online.

The NIIFT 2026 exam will be conducted in the 1st week of June 2026. The online application form will open soon. Information like the name and address of the exam centre and roll number will be mentioned in NIIFT admit card. On exam day, reach the exam venue as per the reporting time given in the admit card.

Yes, only candidates who qualify the exam were called for the interview. The Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology will conduct the exam in the form of a Creative Aptitude in Fashion Test (CAFT).

It is mandatory for the candidate to appear in all the stages of the NIIFT entrance exam. If the candidate fails to do so, he or she will be disqualfied.

The Mohali campus of the Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology offers PG courses like MSc Garment Manufacturing Technology, MSc Fashion Marketing and Management and MDes Fashion & Textiles.

The candidate can select the campus at the time of counseling and seat-allotment. Note that campus allotment will be on the basis of merit.
