NIFT is no.1 institution for fashion technology go for it. One should choose M.FTech only if they have ample interest in Apparel/Textile & Fashion industries. It is mostly about Apparel/Textile production. It deals with the technical aspects of Garment/Textile industry, in addition with brushes of knowledge about fashion industry. If one has a B.Tech background, it will be much better. If you get one of the top centres, placement will not be a problem. Yes, you can join. Many colleges gives chance to student from other streams with different graduation degree to do their Masters in design. The colleges will teach you from the basics. So, it won't be a problem for non designers.

It is about Rs. 1.8 lacs per year, and it is a 4-year course. You can take an approximate of Rs. 8 lacs for the entire course. The fees structure of NIFT gets revised every year. For Bachelor's degree programme, the fee is around INR. 8 Lacs for all 8 semesters. If you want to know the exact amount, you can go to nift.ac.in and download the brochure. They have the fee structure clearly mentioned there.
