1 - WGSN : You should check out WGSN website every now and then. It's all about fashion, the latest trends, forecast reports, market reports, new silhouettes, new brands, the latest collections. They also have reports in form of power point or PDF presentation.
2 - VOGUE : Keep yourself updated with the latest runways and fashion week. By doing that you will get to know what designers are up to and what all new techniques and details they are using. You will find all of these things easily on VOGUE website because they keep updating there website very frequently. You will get to know what happened at Paris fashion week last night also with the review report.
3 - Promostyl: Go through the latest promostyl books, you will get an idea about the fashion forecast. They have different books for different category. For example - one for women's wear, one for men's wear, children wear and colors etc. I know it's not a magazine which you will get anywhere, but what are college libraries for?
4 - Social networking sites: follow the fashion designers, magazines and fashion blogger on Instagram and Facebook. So, that whenever you get time you can have a quick glance over the latest stories for designers.
5 - Magzter: subscribe Magzter, if you are a magazine lover, you will get each and every fashion magazine there.
6 - International online shopping sites: it's one of the best way to look for the designers and fashion brands the latest collection. There are several sites like XOXO and anthropology.

Since fashion designing is a vast field, one needs a skill set to survive in the industry otherwise it's too tough. But, the skill requirements also depends on the person's job profile or the company he/she are working with. Anyways, I am listing down a set of skills which you need to be good in:
1 - Communication skills, because no one knows how good are you at your work, or how creative ideas you have in your mind, until and unless you will explain them in words. And, it is better if you also know some other foreign languages like - French, Italian, German, Spanish etc.
2 - Pattern making knowledge (basics at least), so that you can have a rough idea about the fabric consumption of your designed garment, or the garment you designed on paper is possible to make or not. It will also help you in developing and designing new and creative silhouettes.
3 - Drawing skills, even if you are not good with your hand, I will suggest you to develop it. You won't have a desktop in front of you always. And, it is necessary to explain your ideas or design to someone in drawing or illustration form. You will always have an upper hand, if you are good at sketching.
4 - Softwares like Adobe Photoshop (Ps), Adobe core draw, Adobe illustrator (Ai), Adobe InDesign (Id) etc. And it's always good, if you know more.
5 – You should know about the different textiles and weaves (especially Indian textiles).
6 - Embroidery techniques (traditional as well as modern and contemporary).
7 - Fabric manipulating techniques (for example pin tucks, smocking etc.). Sand surface ornamentation with conventional / non-conventional material.
8 - Should know about various dying and printing methods like digital printing, block printing, screen printing, shibori, tie and dye etc.
9 - DRAPING: Because you will always be creating a new silhouette, whenever you will start draping a piece of cloth.
10 - Garment construction: Yes, you are not a tailor but it is important to know the basic of garment construction. So that you know what finishing should be given in a particular silhouette and fabric. Also, you will know that how time that garment going to consume.
11 - Good color and aesthetic sense: Because at the end of day, your garments should look good aesthetically, also color play an important role to add up in a garments beauty.
12 - Photography basics.
13 - Styling, so that you know that what coordinates good with your garment. Because, bad choice of coordinates can ruin the outfit.

Since there is so much of competition in design entrance exams nowadays, it can't be said which is the best coaching for the preparation.

Since textile is something used in daily needs, it is a growing topic now and then. A textile designer can be employed in the garment, fashion, home furnishing and the interiors segment among other industries. I think you should go for a post-graduation Diploma in textile design because you already studied Fashion Designing for three years, now you would not learn anything new in PG in fashion designing. Till now, you know about how to use textile in garments and how to design garments, but textile designing will now give you the opportunity to learn about how textile will be used in other industries and what are the other possibilities of a textile. Now, doing textile designing will add up to your skills and you also get to know about textiles more. It will also help you in getting better job offers. To be eligible to apply for IIAD entrance exam, you don't have to take NATA exam. You need to clear your 10+2 from a recognized board of education like CBSE/ ISC/ IB or equivalent board. For admission, you will have to appear for iDAT which is a written exam comprising logical reasoning and creative problem solving questions. This exam is followed by a studio test and personal interview.
