For options for Fashion Design, you have NIFT in Gandhinagar and INIFD in Ahmedabad. NIFT is obviously better. The selection is done by a central system since it is a government institute. You will have to fill the admission form which comes out in November-December. Also, keep an eye out for other private institutes as well like INIFD, GIFT, etc. because getting into NIFT is not that easy. Do fill all the forms you can and keep a safe amount of backup. Google all the colleges that are available and make it a point you visit the institutes you are applying for because infrastructure is important for design courses. Yet, tell your sister to prepare well for NIFT.

The eligibility criteria for this course is any graduation degree from a recognised university. After doing graduation you have to apply for MFM course in NIFT and you have to face an entrance test conducted by NIFT. The age limit for this entrance test is maximum 23 years.
