Amity School of Fashion Technology, Amity University, Noida has much higher placements with hundred percent placements as compared to Satyam Fashion Institute. The minimum salary package offered is INR 1.44 LPA and the maximum salary package offered is INR 3.24 LPA in Satyam Fashion Institute. An MBA in Fashion Designing from IIFD, Chandigarh requires to be a graduate and any equivalent qualification recognised by the concerned institution. Duration of two years, for which one has to spend approximately INR 4.20 lakh. In order to apply, all candidates need to apply via online application available at the institute website. Candidates must fill their application form on the webpage and upload all the papers needed to be considered further. Admission is strictly on merit. Only those candidates are shortlisted for counseling whose result has been satisfactory. The intake is available for the session of 2024.

Hi,
You can be one but formal education is a great way to discipline the mind. But if you really want to go ahead, there are tons of ways to do it:
- Learn from wherever and whoever you can. As much as you can.
- Get yourself talking to tailors, they are highly undervalued people with exceptional skills that will teach you a lot about garment construction.
- Try reading about history of fashion. Never forget that fashion is a cycle.
- Follow fashion blogs, maybe even start one.
- Know your fabrics inside out!
- Get subscribed to Fashion and Design Magazines.
- Don't be afraid to experiment, you should be the first person to try out your styles, wear what yo

An entry-level Fashion Designer in India can earn upto Rs. 3-5 LPA. However, the salaries may increase with experience and skill. After gaining experience, candidates can earn between Rs. 10-20 LPA or more.

There are many vocational short term courses that are provided by government as well private institutions in fashion technology.
You may look at the NIFT website for continuing education page where they have at least 1yr programme in fashion design.
Also ATDC has a pan India network which is registered under the aegis of Ministry of Textiles that provide 6 months to 2 years of various courses in fashion design. These will even cost you much less than its private counterparts.
Apart from these government institutions, Many private institutes like Pearl Academy, JD fashion school provide short term courses in Fashion.

To become a fashion designer in India you don't need specific Class 10 subjects but focusing on Art/Fine Arts, Home Science, Maths (for measurements) and also English/Hindi helps build core skills in creativity, fabrics, drawing and even communication with Arts often being a good choice for stream after 10th.
You can choose any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) after Class 10 as long as you pass and then focus on developing your design skills for exams and future courses.
