Following qualifications are eligible for consideration for admission to PhD in fashion technology programme:
Post-graduation degree in the relevant area of design, management or technology (or) equivalent qualification from an institute/ university of national/ international repute with minimum 7 years of education after secondary (Class X) last of which was the Master's degree, where Master's Degree is found to be not relevant to the area of Research, a minimum 10 years of professional experience (teaching /working) in the proposed area of research is required.

Yes, you should pursue B.Sc fashion technology, that will be good for you. Also, you can try for Bachelors in design from colleges like NIFT, NID and Pearl Academy.

If you complete your education from NIFT then you will have good opportunities in the career ahead because it's the second best college in design after NID. Also, it's a government college. NIFT also has a centralized placement system where a Bachelors student easily get a starting salary of 3 Lacs per annum and Masters student get a starting salary of 4 Lacs per annum (on an average).

To get admission in a college for Bachelor's of fashion technology, you need to apply online on the NIFT website. The eligibility criteria is that you should be under 23 (the age limit is relaxed by five years for SC, ST and physically disabled candidate), and you should have completed your 12th with non - med and with a score of 55%.

The advice I am giving you is not specific to any particular test. Aptitude test is something which tests your logical thinking and ability to solve the problems. So to be confident for any upcoming aptitude test, solve as many previous years question papers as you can. This will keep you in touch of the level of the test you are going to appear for. Try to restrict yourself in the same timing as of the entrance exam. Analysis your weak points and work on them. Don't try your hand on new concepts. Build your confidence on your strong points. Be aware about the new brands being launched, brand ambassadors of the Apparel brands.
