Hi Jayesh,
Usually migration is permitted on a case to case basis within the university itself in the second year. However, migration across institutes after the second year will not be permitted. However, do check with your current college on the guidelines.

B.Tech in food technology is a bachelor's course of 4 years. These 4 year program is divided into four parts comprising of one year each and again it is divided into a duration of six months of each semester. At the end of each semester an exam is conducted. Food technology has larger scope and it is growing at a faster speed than the other one you mentioned. In Forensic science the career openings are mostly limited to the Govt sector and hence you need to compete more there. In Food technology the scope is largely open in the private sector as well.
