Hello Sahil,
Once you take admission in 1st year of engineering after real lengthy process, it's next to impossible to shift college in second year. What is reasonably possible is to change branch in same college if seats are available.

Hi,
To take admission in a Ph.D course, the minimum qualification required is Master's degree with a minimum 55% marks. If you fulfill the same then you can apply. You will be exempted from research eligibility test (RET) if qualified UGC NET in the subject in which you have done PG otherwise you need to appear for an entrance examination called RET. Few universities prefer candidates who have completed M.Phil.

Hello Shakti,
For doing B Tech, one needs to appear for and clear one or the other entrance exam. Perhaps only Tamil Nadu is one state where admissions are based on 12th marks. If you have PCB in 12th, it's better.

You surely try taking admission in food biotechnology but it'll not be an advisable step because food biotechnology is mostly biology and chemistry whereas you have a background in mechanical. So I think mechatronics will be a better option for you.
PS: food technology as a course is not available in ADYPU. We have food biotechnology.
Call up the admissions for any more details.
