Forensic Science

Masters in Forensic Sciences is a 2-year full-time post-graduate course which is divided into 4 semesters. Forensics is a method used to determine what happened before, during, and after a crime. Students can choose to focus on one area of forensics, such as Biology or Cyber Security, relevant to the sort of criminal activity to detect. The course may also involve an advanced study of Psychology for understanding a criminals mind. Eligibiity criteria : Pass with 60% aggregate marks in B.Sc. (Forensic Science or Biology or Physics or Chemistry or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Biotechnology or Medical Lab. Technology) or B.Pharma. Or MBBS or BDS or BHMS or B.A. MS or equivalent. So from above Bachelor of Arts students are not eligible for this course.

The eligibility criteria of M.Sc. Forensic Science of LNJN is given below. Eligibility criteria B.Sc. Of minimum 3 years duration with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised University. Also, the candidate must have studied from at least 1st year (2 semesters) of the 3 years degree course any 2 subjects out of (1) Physics, 2) Mathematics or Statistics 3) Chemistry 4) Biology (Zoology or Botany or Genetics or Biochemistry or Biotechnology or Physical Anthropology). Admission criteria : Admission shall be on the basis of the merit of the written test / CET. So from above a candidate must have studied any two subjects from Math/ Statistics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at least in first year of his B.Sc. You have mentioned about the Physics you have studied for two years. But what about the other subjects in B.Sc. First year? So if you have studied any two subject from Math, Physics or Chemistry at least in first year of B.Sc. Course than you can be eligible.
