Although FCRIT has made a name for itself as one of Mumbai University's top engineering schools, it is not usually categorized as one of India Tier 1 engineering schools, like the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) or Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). FCRIT is therefore typically regarded as a Tier 2 institution.

Currently enrolled in 2024 batch and pursuing B.E Computer Engineering, my stern and blatant response would be to turn away from this college at the first instant I would firstly suggest you to look for college that have good campuses, large scale fests and good college/hostel life at the least cause this college has almost none to offer. Maybe take a drop and actually sincerely prepare for another attempt if you're very confident on not messing it up again

Fr. C. Rodrigues College of Engineering, Vashi hereby referred to as “the college”.
The college is best known for teaching methodology. They are the only ones who cover the entire syllabus sincerely. They even conduct prelims, which is unique amongst all MU affiliated colleges. This helps you better understand engineering concepts and one can easily crack GATE, if you are into it.

Last batch got placed at well-reputed companies which came for placement at our college. Most of the students put extra efforts for the opportunity by doing internships in the 3rd or 4th year. The average package was up to 6-7 LPA, and the highest package was 20 LPA by a student from the CSE branch.
