IEM Kolkata offers a total of 840 seats for the BTech course, whereas FIEM offers 666 seats. Both colleges offer BTech courses in several specialisations. The eligibility requirements and admission process at both colleges are similar, in which candidates are required to complete their Class 12 in the Science stream with decent scores. For admission, both colleges accept either JEE Mains or WBJEE scores.

Future Institute of Engineering and Management selects candidates for the MBA course on different parameters. Students who have applied for the course are evaluated based on the marks obtained in the accepted exam score (MAT/ WBJEMAT). After the valid entrance scores, the shortlisted students are invited for a GD & PI round at the college. GD qualifiers move to the PI round.

The eligibility requirements and admission process at both courses are almost similar, in which candidates are required to complete their Class 12 from a recognised board of education, and must have secured valid scores in MAKAUT CET.

The eligibility requirements and admission process at both courses are almost similar, in which candidates are required to complete their Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 50%, and must have secured valid scores in MAKAUT CET.

In future institutes of engineering and management, the fee for professional courses like MBA/PGDM is INR 4.8 lakhs,
For other Master's degree courses like MCA, M.Sc, and MPH it comes around INR 2 LPA- INR 3.3 LPA.
General undergraduate courses may also exceed INR 2 LPA - INR 4.5 LPA.

There are a total of 15 programmes/ Courses offered by the Future Institute of Engineering and Management. But Based on statistics and reviews from students B.Tech in Information Technology is the top course of this college as last year almost 90% of the students got placed during campus drive, In which the highest Package was INR 9.5 Lpa and the lowest package was INR 2.5 Lpa and various very well reputed companies visit this college during the placement drive.
Therefore, the top course of The Future Institute OF Engineering and Management is B.Tech in Information Technology.
