The primary eligibility requirement for admission to BTech LE courses at FIEM is that applicants must complete their BSc degree or Diploma in the relevant field with decent scores. Moreover, for the admission process, the institute accepts JELET scores. West Bengal Joint Entrance Lateral Engineering Test (WB JELET) is conducted annually by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) to provide eligible candidates admission into the second year (third semester) of Bachelor's Degree courses in Engineering.

Yes, FIEM offers scholarships for BTech students. Majorly, the scholarships are offered to BTech students on the basis of their merit, the scores they achieved in their higher senior secondary, and their entrance exam. Additionally, the college offers minority scholarships, the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship, and other government-aided scholarships and freeships. Before applying for the scholarships, candidates must complete the eligibility requirements and apply through the official website of the college.

IEM Kolkata offers a total of 840 seats for the BTech course, whereas FIEM offers 666 seats. Both colleges offer BTech courses in several specialisations. The eligibility requirements and admission process at both colleges are similar, in which candidates are required to complete their Class 12 in the Science stream with decent scores. For admission, both colleges accept either JEE Mains or WBJEE scores.

Officially, the recent data on the median packages offered to BTech courses at FIEM has not been released. However, as per the placement reports of the BTech course at FIEM, the median package offered by the college to BTech students was INR 4.5 LPA. Candidates must note that this represents the placements fetched from the NIRF report 2025 for the BTech course.

While preparing the cutoff for the FIEM BTech course, the authorities will consider examination and admission-related factors. The listed factors will be checked and considered by the authorities while determining the cutoff of the Future Institute of Engineering and Management—previous years' cutoff trends, difficulty level of exam, total number of qualified candidates, total number of candidates applying for a specific course, number of seats available for a particular BTech specialisation, etc.
