The placements are good in GCET. Something that matters is you are choosing which course. Fees differ from courses to courses for each course fees is different. Scholarship form that is provided by the government.

Hi, Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology offers undergraduate courses in Technology with eight specialisations. Under its postgraduate programme, the institute offers an MBA and MCA programme with an intake of 60 seats each. The courses offered by GCET are approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD

If you want to drop your year so I think your fee is doesn't get the return back to you but if you talk to your staff and faculty or your Dean, director, hope they provide you any solution. I hope you get your desired answer.
