Gandhinagar University GUJCET Cutoff 2024 was out for Round 1. The Cutoff was released for different categories under the HS Quota. The Cutoff ranks ranged between 15268 and 38463 for the General HS quota candidates. For the Computer Engineering course, the Cutoff closed at 15268, for the General HS category candidates. 

For the OBC HS category candidates, the Cutoff for BTech in Computer Engineering was 27388, making it the toughest course. For the SC category candidates, the cutoff for CE closed at 33135, and for the ST HS category candidates, the Cutoff closed at 10377. For the PWD category candidates, the Cutoff for BTech in CE closed at 17456.  

To secure a seat for BA courses at Gandhinagar University, the process outlined for admissions to BA and BA (Hons.) is below: Firstly, candidates have to fill out an application form, wait for merit list, and pay the required fee. Below are outlined process to get a seat for BA courses at GU:

·       Begin by accessing and duly submitting the application form through the official GU official website.

·       The selection process for admission is merit-based.

·       A comprehensive list of chosen candidates will be presented in order of merit.

·       Once shortlisted, candidates are required to submit all necessary documents.

·       Successful candidates must then proceed to complete the fee payment process.

Gandhinagar University, Gujarat follows a seat reservation policy authorised by central government, university reserved the seats under the category, sports, cultural, PD Quota etc. The seat reservation bifurcation is as follows:

Gen-EWS Category
General category belonging to Economically Weaker Section (GEN- EWS) – 10% of seats in every course. The benefit of reservation will be given only to those General category candidates who satisfy the conditions given by the Ministry
of Social Justice and Empowerment.

OBC-NCL
Other Backward Classes belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer (OBC- NCL) – 27% of seats in every course.

Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe
The benefit of reservation will be given only to those castes and tribes that are mentioned in the respective central list of corresponding states published by the Government of India.

Persons with Disability (PwD)
A total of 5% seats in each of OPEN, GEN-EWS, OBCNCL, SC and ST category seats.

Gandhinagar University provide three-year BA courses and four-year BA (Hons.) degree course, the eligibility criteria to get admission to any BA programme is similiar. At GU the differences between the BA and BA (Hons.) programmes lie in the depth of study and specialisation:

BA Programmes:

• Broad curriculum covering various disciplines.
• Foundation courses in literature, political science, etc.
• General focus, providing a well-rounded education.

BA (Hons.) Programmes:

• Specialised curriculum within a specific discipline.
• Advanced courses delving deeper into topics.
• Research projects or thesis required.
• Higher academic, emphasising analytical and research skills.

The BA programmes offers a broad education, while the BA (Hons) programmes provides specialised and deep/rigorous study in a chosen field.
