The GATE 2026 branch-wise dates will be announced soon. IIT Guwahati will release the GATE 2026 exam dates for all papers after the completion of the registration and the admit card process. The dates will be made available on the official website. Here is a detailed timeline for releasing the GATE 2026 branch-wise dates -

• Launch of the GATE website, information brochure, and GATE exam dates
• Start of the registration process
• Opening of the GATE 2026 application form correction window 
• Release of the GATE admit card 2026
• Announcement of the GATE 2026 exam dates (branch-wise) dates

The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati will release the GATE 2026 paper. The GATE exam will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15 in two shifts.

The official notification for GATE 2026 is now available. The following changes are made in GATE 2026 -

• GATE application fees are revised.
• New sectional paper (Energy Science- XE-I) introduced under Engineering Sciences. 

The GATE 2026 exam dates have been announced by the IIT Guwahati. Candidates can check the dates here or on the official website - gate2026.iitg.ac.in. The GATE 2026 apply date is August 28 to September 28 (without late fees). The GATE 2026 exam dates are February 7, 8, 14, and 15. 

"Successfully submitted" in the GATE application status dashboard means that you have completed all the steps in the GATE 2026 registration process, including the payment. It also indicates that your application form has been received by the official authorities. However, it does not mean that your form is approved by the officials. It is still "under the scrutiny process."

Candidates are advised to visit the GOAPS portal regularly to check the updates on the GATE GOAPS portal once the form is activated. 

The GATE 2026 application status facility will be made available at the time of GATE application form process. Candidates can check their application status at the GOAPS portal using their enrollment ID and password. 

The GATE application form 2026 is expected to release in the first week of August. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be eligible to apply for the exam. The registration link remains active mainly till October. 

If you have forgot your GATE enrollment ID, then you can follow the steps below to retrieve it -

• Visit the official GATE 2026 website
• Click on the log in page and select "Forgot credentials"
• Now enter email ID, mobile number, and select "Send OTP"
• The details will be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID.

Ensure you're checking the same contact details used during registration. If you're still unable to retrieve it, contact the GATE helpdesk of the organizing institute.

The official GATE 2026 notification is yet to be released, the updates will be notified along with the release of the GATE 2026 official website launch and information bulletin. 

So as of now, there is no change in the GATE 2026 syllabus. However, students must stay alert with all the GATE updates. Candidates should start their preparation based on GATE 2025 syllabus and pattern. Having a flexible strategy can help the students to adapt quickly if there are any changes made in the GATE exam syllabus 2026.
