The Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati released the GATE 2026 application form on August 28. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can register for the GATE 2026. The mode of the application form is online and must be submitted within the given timeline.

The salary after qualifying GATE varies for different sectors -
Like for example -
- In PSUs, the salary mainly ranges between 7.6 LPA to 18 LPA
- Salary range in FAANG companies mainly range between 45 LPA to 2.5 crore per annum (through IITs and IISc)
- Salary range in private companies mainly ranges between 15 LPA to 60 LPA
These salary bracket completely based on the experience, skill set, and other factors. The GATE scorecard is valid for three years. Candidates can utilise the scores for the recruitment or study purposes.

- Candidates can pursue MTech/MSc/PhD from IISc Bangalore, IITs, NITs, IIITs and other reputed institutes.

The GATE 2026 branch-wise dates will be announced soon. IIT Guwahati will release the GATE 2026 exam dates for all papers after the completion of the registration and the admit card process. The GATE 2026 exam dates have been announced by the IIT Guwahati. Candidates can check the dates here or on the official website - gate2026.iitg.ac.in. The GATE 2026 apply date is August 28 to September 28 (without late fees). The GATE 2026 exam dates are February 7, 8, 14, and 15.

"Successfully submitted" in the GATE application status dashboard means that you have completed all the steps in the GATE 2026 registration process, including the payment. It also indicates that your application form has been received by the official authorities. However, it does not mean that your form is approved by the officials. It is still "under the scrutiny process."
Candidates are advised to visit the GOAPS portal regularly to check the updates on the GATE GOAPS portal once the form is activated.

The GATE 2026 application status facility will be made available at the time of GATE application form process. Candidates can check their application status at the GOAPS portal using their enrollment ID and password.
The GATE application form 2026 is expected to release in the first week of August. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be eligible to apply for the exam. The registration link remains active mainly till October.
