IIT Guwahati will be conducting the GATE 2026 exam on February 7, 8, 14, and 15. Utilise these 4 to 5 months in the best way. Here is a quick yet effective GATE preparation plan that can help you score well in the exam.
- Starting from November to December, start covering at least two subjects per day. Pick your notes and formula handbook and run through it. Pick videos for a detailed explanation. After covering that, try explaining the concept to yourself for understanding.

Yes, candidates having qualifying degree in B.Com can apply for GATE exam to get admission to the master's programmes in IITs and IISc. This year, IIT Guwahati is conducting the GATE 2026 exam. The GATE 2018 was also conducted by IIT. Based on the structure of the previous year's GATE question paper, students can expect that the exam will be moderate to difficult level. Candidates must keep the following documents ready before applying for AICTE GATE scholarships/stipend -
- Scanned copy of the GATE/CEED scorecard
- The bank account should be active with the Aadhar card. It must be linked with the Aadhar card.
- Only an Aadhar active Bank savings account will be considered since the PG scholarship is released through the Aadhar Bridge Payment Systems (ABPS) mode through Public Financial Management System (PFMS).
- No frill account, Jan Dhan account, Bank account having limits on transactions/credits and joint account are permitted.
- A scanned copy of the Aadhar card should be uploaded in JPEG or JPG f
