The M.Tech programme at DPG Institute requires a GATE score. The admission to the M.Tech course is done based on GATE marks. This college also looks at the graduation score which should be a minimum of 50 percent. The fee for an M.Tech course at DPG Institute of Technology and Management is 1.8 Lakh per annum. The qualifying cutoff is used to determine whether a candidate is eligible for admission to any postgraduate programme such as MTech and PhD, while the admission cutoff is used to select candidates for admission to a specific programme in a particular institute such as  IITs, NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs.

Moreover, The qualifying cutoff is determined by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc),  Bangalore,  while the admission cutoff is determined by the respective institute.
