To calculate your GATE 2024 score using the answer key, follow these steps:
- Identify the marking scheme (usually 1 or 2 marks per correct answer).
- Count the number of questions you attempted for each section (MCQs and NAT/SAQs).Then, check the answer key to see how many of your attempted answers are correct.
- Apply the formula:
- MCQs: For each section, subtract 1/3 marks (for 1 mark MCQs) or 2/3 marks (for 2 mark MCQs) for every incorrect answer. Add the remaining marks for correct MCQs.
- NAT/SAQs: Add the marks for all correctly answered NAT/SAQs based on the marking scheme.
- Sum the marks obtained from MCQs and NAT/SAQs sections.

The cutoff is released for every counselling round. As per the data collected from external sources, for M.Tech CSE in IIIT Delhi, candidates with a GATE score of above 60 and for ECE, a score above 65 shall be good enough to get selected. However, this may change, as the cutoff changes every year, as it depends upon multiple dynamic factors. For more information related to the IIIT Delhi Cutoff and trends, Click here.

The GATE 2024 response sheets are no longer available for download after the exam on February 10-11, 2024. This is because, the response sheet window was typically open for a short period after the exam to allow candidates to verify their marked answers.
However, the answer key was likely released a few days after the exam. You can search online for the official GATE answer key 2024 (by Indian Institute of Science Bangalore) to see the correct answers for each question.

The factors that influenced GATE 2025 cutoff are:
- Number of Applicants: higher number of students applying for a specific branch leads to a more competitive environment.
- GATE Exam Difficulty: If the exam is considered tougher, the cutoff might be lower to account for the challenges faced by students.
- Total Available Seats: Fewer seats translate to a stricter cutoff.

Candidates can check the results by logging in with their email address, password, and GATE enrollment ID. With the use of the result, candidates can examine their scores out of 100, their GATE qualifying marks, their AIR, and more. It should be noted that the authorities will utilise the raw results that each candidate received on their respective GATE paper to determine the scores. The authorities will also use a normalisation strategy to documents involving many sessions. As a result, we can say that the scorecard will be accessible a few days following the announcement of the answer key and results that same day.
