Hi,
M.Tech in CS course is not available at IET-Lucknow. Hence, you have to exercise for other colleges. Further most of the colleges are accepting GATE score for their MTech programs. The validity of GATE score is remains for three years from the date of declaration of GATE result. The minimum qualifying cut off is 25 and its varies from college to college.

Hi, The GATE cut off is depends upon various factors as listed below and varies yearly and institute wise. The following factors will be considered during the preparation process of GATE cutoff for IITs and NITs:
1. Number of applicants for the specific course
2. Previous years cutoff trend
3. Difficulty level of the examination
4. Number of seats available for the course
The M.Tech minimum cut off in Machine design for IIT-G in year 2017 are under :-
a) 754 ( For General)
b) 719 (For OBC)
c) 511 ( For SC)
d) 483 (For ST)
The NIT Warangal opening and closing ranks for year 2018 are under:-
a) 864-768 ( For general)
b) 791-739 (For OBC)

Hi,
The GATE cut off depends upon various factors like Total number of applicants, No of available seats, difficulty level of GATE paper, previous year cut off etc. For getting admission in prestigious colleges like IITs, NITs and GFTIs your GATE score should above 600 if belongs to general category.

Only M.Tech aspirants can apply for GATE exam as it is an all India test. The test is administered by top technology institutes. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering GATE is an all India examination administered and conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and Seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordination Board-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

GATE forms are available from 1st of September every year and exam in mid-February. 1st of all, you are engineering pursuing or passed out. If you have 3rd year students or final year students, then store all 3-4 years question patterns and watch which section ask more no of questions 2nd thing you which section is good or bad. Focus on that section. If cleared, take coaching.

Hello Dear,
As you are first year student, my dear, you are not eligible to apply. In your second year you can apply and if you get good rank it is valid for two years. Nextly, it would help you to gain experience about the question set and how you have to manage timing next time. Start your preparation from the first year itself for GATE Entrance as you have achieve the rank within 50s my dear the competition getting tougher and tougher as the year is passing. All the best.
