You have a more than enough time for preparation . its better to go with books thoroughly . even you wana join tha "made easy" is the best choice . for books contact to some recently gate cleared candidates or use net or contact to an iit mtech prop in clg .best wishes

What is ur present qualification? Not easy or almost zero for fresher to join a company campus in US or outside india anywhere! If you want job outside then give gre, toefl.

It varies a lot from college to college and is diff for mtech and phd.
nearly 8-10k for mtech and 13k+ for phd.

If you want to do PG this year only then approach some universities which has management quota seats.

GATE is post graduate level MTech or M tech-with felloship course entrance test and widely accepted in indian premere institutes.
On The Other Hand GRE is Entrance Test for entry into foreign university Science & Technology cources. And still not accteted By indian colleges or universitiesor IIT's.
So For Study in India GATE is the only choice.
