Always remember, you should pursue a course based on your interest and skills as it will help you to achieve your long term career goals.
After B.E. / B.Tech, you have two options :
1) You may opt for M.Tech if you wish to study the technical aspect of the branch. You need to sit for GATE.
2) You may pursue MBA if you wish to move your career towards management line. You need to appear in CAT, MAT, SNAP etc.

GRE is for to study abroad for Indian students along with exam TOEFL
One year coaching is enough for below average student also if he performed well in undergraduate academic record. some what less also no problem the percentage in between in 60 to 70 percent.
