The admission to Govt. seats are made by Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar through centralized counseling. The admissions under Management Quota are made directly by the management as per Punjab Govt. /PTU norms.

Hi,
Always remember, you should pursue a course based on your interest and skills as it will help you to achieve your long term career goals.
After B.E. / B.Tech, you have two options :
1) You may opt for M.Tech if you wish to study the technical aspect of the branch. You need to sit for GATE.
2) You may pursue MBA if you wish to move your career towards management line. You need to appear in CAT, MAT, SNAP etc.

You can give GRE or toffel exam , GATE exam is to get admision in Mtech or Ph.D. admisison and you can give it after MSC or MCA or Btech

GATE is for to study in India for reputed institutes like IIT's,IIIT's,NIT's
GRE is for to study abroad for Indian students along with exam TOEFL
One year coaching is enough for below average student also if he performed well in undergraduate academic record. some what less also no problem the percentage in between in 60 to 70 percent.
