With a GATE score of 275 and AIR 15500, you can likely get admission to some NITs and GFTIs, and possibly some IITs depending on the specific branch and category. It's also worth exploring other M.Tech colleges that accept direct admission or other entrance exam scores, as GATE scores alone may not be the only determining factor.

There is no such necessity to take coaching to clear the GATE exam for admission to MTech courses; you can get excellent marks and rank through dedicated effort and self-study. Basically, it depends on your learning style, dedication towards clearing the exam, and passion to pursue MTech.

Having said that, coaching can definitely add value because of the structured learning approach followed there, along with expert knowledge and guidance and access to study material that can turn out to be very helpful.

Yes, the admissions to the M.Tech programme offered at DR DY Patil Institute of Technology is entrance-based. Students seeking to apply for the course must fulfil both the eligibility and selection criteria for the university. The university accepts GATE or MHTCET score for admission to its M.Tech programme. Hence, a student can still get into the DYPIET, Pune M.Tech course without appearing for GATE, given they have a valid MHTCET score. For further admission related queries, students can contact the admission help desk of the university.
