Yes, an average student can get admission in GBU Greater Noida. Aspirants have an option to get direct admission in most of the courses except few, such as PhD, MBA, LLM, BSc Clinical Psychology, etc. Candidates can also get admission based on their CUET-UG, CUET-PG and scores in other national-level entrance exams. The university conducts GBU-ET for admission in specific courses. The availability of multiple admission pathways and low eligibility requirement (45%-50%), increases the chance of admission of an average students.

Gautam Buddha University admissions are a mix of merit and entrance basis. Aspirants can provide their CUET, JEE, GATE or scores in any other accepted national-level entrance exams. For many of the UG and PG courses, direct admission is offered based on merit. The university conducts GBU-ET for admission in LLM, PhD, BSc Clinical Psychology, MBA and MSc Nuclear Medicine courses.

Gautam Buddha University offers limited seats for its programmes. The intake is filled as per the government and university norms. For popular courses, the intake is as below:

Students have to pay the Gautam Buddha University fees timely. The fee ranges between INR 72,000 and INR 12 lakh. The fees for MA starts from INR 72,000 and goes up to INR 2.2 lakh. The total tuition fees for popular courses is as below:

Yes, however all courses do not have option for direct admissions at Gautam Buddha University. A few courses that offer direct admissions include the:
- Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
- Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) (subject to change)
Most other UG/PG level courses at GBU have admissions based on entrance exams such as the GBU-ET for Engineering courses.
