Gautam Buddha University provides BTech programs requiring students to have passed 10+2 with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects, plus Chemistry, Biotechnology, technical vocational subject. Minimum of 45% marks & 40% for SC/ST is required in these subjects combined. Admission is based on Gautam Buddha University Entrance Test or JEE Main scores.

To be eligible for the MBA programme at Gautam Buddha University students must have graduation degree in any discipline with minimum of 50% aggregate marks and 45% for SC/ST. Admission requires valid scores in national level exams like CAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT/XAT or university entrance test followed by Group Discussion & Personal Interview.

Candidates need to pass Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC/ ST) to apply for Gautam Buddha University BTech programme. Candidates need to complete three years/ two years Diploma exam with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for reserved category) to apply for BTech (LE). Aspirants with BSc degree or DVoc can also apply.

The candidate have to complete class 12 with 45% aggregate in any stream from School/College for General category. Apart from this, 42% for OBC (Non-creamy layer), (40% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade and as per BCI rules. Similarly, the aspirants awaiting results of the qualifying examination can appear for the test on the condition that they have to provide proof of having passed the qualifying examination with the prescribed marks before or at the time of counseling.The three year diploma/polytechnic course issued by an institution recognised by the Government shall be considered at par with +2 certificate for the purpose of admissi
