Hello Vaishnavi, you are in that famous Shakespearen dilemma! "To be or not to be"! But remember throughout our life, be as a student or as working or as retired, we always face such dilemmas almost on a continuous basis while taking any decision. So do not worry about this. Any profession, any branch of studies is good for somebody or the other. What you should try to find out is that is it good for you? You must choose that course of study in which you will find satisfaction, peace of mind and fascination for learning more and more. This you must do instead of following peer pressure and doing what every other your friend is doing. M

Hello,
B.Sc. General programme is of 3 years where as the honors programme is of 4 years. Honors programme is much updated and advanced than the general B.Sc. Programme. Honors programme enables the student to specialise or major in one of the subject
Honors programme are considered much better than the general B.Sc. Programme.

Delhi University is probably the largest university, which takes into consideration the marks of class 12th standard. Certain private colleges like Amity University also take candidates through their class 12th percentage. IISER conducts it's own aptitude test for which it shortlists candidates on the basis of their class 12th percentage. St. Xavier College, Christ University also take candidates on the basis of their class 12th percentage.

Hi,
It will not create any problem. Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any stream from a recognized university. Candidates who are awaiting results of their graduation exams are also eligible to apply for Preliminary exam. However, such candidates need to submit the proof of passing the requisite exam at the time of applying for Main exam (if qualified). The applications for Main exam are usually released in the month of July/ August. Kindly check the eligibility criteria from the link below. https://www.shiksha.com/exams/upsc-civil-services-exam.
