Genetics is a 2 year post graduate degree programme, the minimum eligibility is a Bachelor's degree from a recognised institute or its equivalent exam. Interested candidates can get admission to M.Sc. Genetics course on the basis of candidate's performance in a relevant entrance exam, and subsequent round of counseling. Some colleges like IITs need entrances.

It's possible to opt for genetics engineering course without having maths in class 12th. You should have Physics, Chemistry, And Biology with decent marks to get enrolled for UG course in genetic engineering.
The Maths Involved here would be Statistics and basic calculus. If you were to take an engineering for UG, then you have to must know the basic maths upto 10th and 12th level.
So, no need to worry about the strong background of maths, just know the basic things, That is it.

Yes, since you have completed B.Sc in biotechnology, you are definitely eligible for M.Sc degree in Geneti Engineering as it is a specialised branch in the same.

It solely depends on the colleges that provide this course. In case of governemt colleges there are no fixed seats as the government is increasing student intake every year. For private colleges there are lots of seats.

Master in Genetic Engineering: Eligibility: The applicants should have a Bachelor's degree under any registered University in respective subjects like Botany, Genetics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Molecular Biology and Biomedical Sciences in Science stream.
