Interested students need to qualify BSc in Science from a recognised college or university. Minimum marks that candidates need to secure in graduation in order to be eligible for an MSc course is usually 50% to 60% aggregate. However, the percentage requirement might change depending on the policy of a university or institute in which a candidate is applying

No, GIET university does not conduct any entrance exam for MSc course. The student will get admission in MSc course on basis of merit based. However, the candiate need to be graduate with 50% aggregate. Furthermore, for MSc in biotechnology, the student need to pass in BSc Biotechnology / BSc with Biochemistry / Microbiology / Botany / Zoology /Physics /Chemistry/ Environmental Sciences/ Agriculture / BVSc /BTech Biotechnology/BPharma /BAMS/BHMS/BPT and any other related discipline with not less than 45 % aggregate.

For 50% of seats, addmission will be done on the basis of JEE main exam. The candidates have to register on the OJEE website of counseling. The remaining seats are filled on the basis of GIETEE/JEE Mains or other national-level entrance exams.

The application channel for the BCA programme at GIET University is primarily online, requiring the submission of an application fee. Applying for the BCA course admission in 2023 at GIET Gunupur University follows a merit-based process. Aspiring students who have concluded their 12th-grade studies under either state or central educational boards are entitled to seek enrollment in the course. Additionally, a prerequisite for application is the inclusion of mathematics as a subject during the 12th grade, coupled with a minimum 50% aggregate score.

Apart from this, BCA or equivalent degree with 50% aggregate from any recognised University or Institute is required. However, candidates who have completed class 12 or BA with maths, BSc, BCom or Graduation (45% aggregate in case of reserved category) are eligible for the course.
