Honestly, I felt GIBS helps quite a lot during the whole entrance + application phase. Even before joining, their admission team guides you properly about what exams to take, how the scoring works, and what matters more for PGDM.

For students like us, they also clear doubts about CAT/MAT/CMAT/XAT etc., cutoffs, scholarship criteria, timelines, and even how to fill applications without messing up. It makes the process way easier and less stressful.

Most of us didn't come with a “perfect plan, ” so having someone explain everything in simple language helps. They also conduct webinars and counseling sessions for clarity. It's not spoon-

Honestly, this was one of the biggest surprises for me at GIBS. Instead of just theory, they make you work on live projects and case studies literally from the first trimester, so you start thinking like you're already in the corporate world. Plus, the corporate talks are not just motivational sessions — they actually expose you to how companies work, how decisions are made, and what skills matter in placements.

For me, this mix really helped during interviews because I wasn't just answering from textbooks, I could connect it to real examples. It kind of bridges that awkward gap between classroom learning and placements in a ver

Honestly ya, they do guide personally. Like in my case, during internships & projects I was literally asking doubts every 2 days  and they didn't make it weird. They actually sit and help you figure stuff instead of just saying “manage yourself.”

Even for future plans, some of us were talking about higher studies & switching domains, and faculty actually gave proper direction instead of those generic “all the best” types. Felt more like mentorship than just normal teaching.

So ya in GIBS you're not just left to survive on your own. They make sure you know what you're doing and where you're going.

GIBS is pretty flexible when it comes to entrance exams. They accept almost all the common management tests — CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, State CET, and even GMAT. In my batch itself, we had students who came through different exams, not just CAT.

Honestly, that's one thing I liked about GIBS — they don't restrict the admission chances to only one or two exams. If you've taken any recognised management entrance, it counts. After that, they focus more on your overall profile, interview, and how serious you are about management studies, which makes the process feel fair rather than purely score-driven.

From my experience, the international exposure at GIBS is honestly one of the things that makes the campus feel very different from a regular B-school. It's not just about saying “global exposure” on brochures — they actually bring people from outside. We had MIT alumni, global speakers, and faculty from abroad conducting bootcamps, workshops, and sessions. Some of us even got to work on cross-cultural projects and presentations with them, which really pushes you to think beyond the Indian market.

GIBS also has academic tie-ups and exchange opportunities, especially for those who want to explore entrepreneurship or internati
