They also attend various seminars for collaborative and discussion-based learning. In the first phase, students are also required to complete a faculty-supervised research paper. Great Lakes Chennai offers a unique FPM programme. As per the institute's official website, the programme is fully funded. Only the students who are willing to opt for a second PhD from the University of Texas at Arlington USA are required to pay the fees. Students are advised to get in touch with the admissions committee to know the exact fees to be paid for the second PhD degree.
