INR 7 LPA was the highest package offered at GSFC, but remember that the highest it has to offer is not the general case, and you would need to look for an average or a median package to get a better understanding of such things. Also, you should remember that placements are not the sole thing that matters; there's more, like further education, which may be more helpful if we do them from a research-oriented university instead of a placement-oriented university, but that might change from university to university. Also, this may change from time to time as the companies demand changes from time to time.

You would have to look objectively at which course you are looking for and compare accordingly. like let's say for example, MSU is a lot cheaper if you are a Gujrat domicile, and your fee might be a lot less than GSFC which is a significant portion of the money anyone spends on their college. There's also the factor of return on investment which might vary from time to time, but generally, MSU is cheaper than GSFC in some metrics and courses. Some lifestyle choices you would make also greatly affect that, and this might change from person to person.

Ultimately, there's also many hidden expenditures which changes from locality to l

I takes students in various ways for various courses, For BE/Btech They take admission via JEE and GUJCET, both having a certain intake of students which they choose (45% and 55% usually) Similarly they take admissions for MBA via CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT etc. and would have a different cutoff for each. These along with many eligibility criterias for each of the various courses it offers, for Bachelor courses going to about 50% for 12th usually but may vary for one case or another. Similarly many courses don't take admissions via these entrances and may take admission via merit or some other means.

You didn't specify college, or the discipline

The specific cutoff marks required may vary depending upon the category of an indiviual, the domocile, the eligibility of a certain instute, the college or university he or she is looking for, the branch he wants, the locality he is in, the reservation in the concerned university, and many more, in order to get a clear cutoff you need to know all of the rest of variables which greatly affect the cutoff marks or ranks. also many universities conduct their own entrance exams too, so that also plays a role in this, you need to choose as per your conditions and preferences.
