Institute of Hotel Management (IHM Ahmedabad) was established as Food Craft Institute Ahmedabad in 1972. Later in 1984, it was upgraded as the Institute of Hotel Management Ahmedabad by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.

 The institution offers various UG and PG courses, such as B.Sc, M.Sc., and Certificate, etc. The college is affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT). It offers BSc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration and provides placements in renowned companies.

Almost 95% of students got placed because the coordinator is very supportive. The highest salary package offered was 4.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 2 LPA. Management trainees in retail stores are the top roles offered.
