Yes, DDU- Dharmsinh Desai University does offer scholarships to its students. The university provide merit-based scholarships to the students. To avail of the scholarship schemes, students must meet the eligibility and submit the required documents. Find below the two major scholarship schemes offered at Dharmsinh Desai University:

Scholarship 1: Merit-cum-Means Scholarship is awarded to deserving students.

Scholarship 2: INR 77 Lacs for scholarships for engineering students. Four students were given scholarships of INR 25,000.

It's not compulsory but it's almost impossible without gujcet For ex :person a gets 60 percentile in both gujcet and board while person b gets 100 percentile in boards only then the merit point of person a is 3 (0.05*boards pr)+3 (0.05*gujcet pr)=6 score. While person b gets 0.5 (only boards) score which means person a is more likely for admission in gtu or gtu affiliated college than person b even if person b is clearly smarter

Yes, candidates who have studied Science subjects from PCM and PCB can get admissions to the BPharm course at GTU Ahmedabad. The other requirements to enrol in the course are as follows:

  • Candidates must have secured a minimum aggregate of 45% in the case of the general category and 40% in the case of reserved categories. Additionally, for the admission process, the university releases the merit on the basis of the last qualifying examination. Additionally, the university-affiliated colleges accept certain accepted entrance examination scores.

During the form-filling and BPharm course at GTU Ahmedabad, candidates shall ensure that they keep a few documents handy. These documents are required for verification purposes. Absence of the same may cause trouble during admission. Candidates are advised to keep both the originals and photocopies. Further, some of the important documents that should be kept are:

  • Mark sheet Class 10
  • Mark sheet Class 12/ Diploma Certificate
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable) 
  • Certificate of Physical Disability, issued and duly signed by the Civil Surgeon/Medical authority, in the case of a Physically Handicapped candidate.

The official website of the GTU Ahmedabad does not mention the compulsion of the GUJCET exam for admissions. However, the affiliated colleges of GTU Ahmedabad might accept the scores of GUJCET for admission confirmations. To get an exact idea about the acceptance of GUJCET, candidates are required to visit the official websites of affiliated colleges, respectively. For GTU-Ahmedabad, the university releases the merit on the basis of accepted qualifying examinations.

Gujarat Technological University is affiliated with several other colleges that offer BPharm courses. The number of seats offered by the university is around 970. On the other hand, the number of seats offered by Indus University is only 60. There is a difference in seats in both universities because Indus University is not affiliated with any colleges, and it is a private university.
