Dear Mohammed Shahab,
Admission to SVNIT Surat is mostly on the basis of JEE Main rank, and a rank of 94 appears very competitive. But the choice is subject to category, availability of seats, and home state quota. Your 90% in CBSE will make your profile stronger, but JEE rank is the deciding factor. I suggest verifying the last year's cutoffs for your category on the website of JoSAA to get a better estimate of your possibilities. If you are in a reserved category or home state quota, your possibility might increase.

Hello Preetii,
Direct entry into the 3rd semester of a BCA course, also referred to as lateral entry, is generally for students who have passed a relevant diploma. In Ahmedabad, the majority of colleges do not provide lateral entry into their BCA courses. But Ahmedabad University does offer lateral admissions, though it's mainly for students coming from other universities and might not be applicable to BCA in particular. With this, your best alternative could be beginning with the first semester.

Yes, you can major in biotechnology with a 55% in 12th grade but you might not have many options. Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) must be taken for at least 50–60% of the 12th grade at many colleges.
Admissions Options:
Private Universities: Students that score 50% or higher are often admitted to private universities.
Diploma Programs: You might choose to enrol in a Biotechnology Diploma programme and then thereafter pursue a B.Sc. Biotechnology through lateral entry.
State institutions: The requirements for some state and deemed institutions may be lenient.

Students from other states like as West Bengal and Orissa, are welcome to enroll in Government Engineering College (GEC) Bhavnagar JEE Mains scores are the main factor used in the admissions procedure and candidates from outside Gujarat can get admitted using the All India Quota (AIQ). However, the All India Rank (AIR) and the particular cutoff for each branch determine how many seats are available.
If your JEE Mains score is 855235, you might have trouble enrolling into a highly competitive branch.

With a NEET score of 223 in the general category, it can prove to be quite difficult to gain admission to a government medical college for BDS in Gujarat. Government medical colleges always have higher cut-off scores in BDS courses, particularly for the general category of students.

Since it has an AIR of 21,636 in NEET, admission to a government medical college in Gujarat on the general quota is not expected, as government college cutoffs for MBBS are generally more. You will have a prospect of admission from state quota in some government colleges, particularly for reserved categories or for other studies like BDS or allied health science. It is better to refer to the cutoff trends of the respective year and also opt for applying through counseling for MBBS as well as other medical courses. Private colleges' management quota seats may also be a consideration.

With a NEET score of 607 and an All India Rank of 72,881 in the OBC category, you have a good chance of getting an MBBS seat in Gujarat. In past years, OBC students with scores of around 590 were selected in premier government medical colleges such as Government Medical College, Baroda. Since your score is higher than these thresholds, you are well-placed for admission. But cutoffs may differ every year depending on the number of candidates and seat capacity. It's better to actively take part in the state counselling process and remain informed with the latest news.
