No, it is not hard to get admission at Gujarat University. The university offer undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), diploma, certificate and PhD courses to students in streams such as Arts, Commerce, Science, Education, Law and Medicine & Health Sciences. Admission is based on merit and entrance exams. The university accepts national entrance exams such as CAT, MAT, and others. Aspiring candidates must qualify the eligibility criteria set by the university for the desired course.

Placement ratio differs in case of colleges like Utkal University of Culture and Central University of Gujarat. Utkal University: placement rate 80%+, recruiters-300+, the highest package INR 6.5 lakhs, average in INR 3.5 lakhs. Central University of Gujarat: Placement record over 70 percent, 200+ recruiters, maximum salary INR 80000, mean salary INR 42000. Sector-wise placements: Utkal: Education 25%, Culture 20%, Tourism 15% Gujarat: Research 30%, Academia 25%, Government 20%. Gujarat Maritime University offers admission in moderate competitive level. Key statistics:

- Acceptance rate: 30-40%

- Total seats: 1,200 (UG), 300 (PG)

- Eligibility: In case of UG course, 45% marks in 10+2 examination or its equivalent, 40% for SC/ST candidates, 50% for PG course.

- Entrance exams: GUJCET and CMAT; GATE for specific courses fields.

- Cut-offs: 30-50 percentile in GUJCET, percentile score of 50-70 in CMAT

When all the conditions of admission criteria have been met, getting a good entrance test score and attending counseling sessions improve the chances of being admitted.

BAMS admissions at Gujarat Ayurveda University are available on the merit basis as well as on the entrance test basis. There is no direct admission as a form of admission. Admission requirements:

- Eligibility: 10+2 with pass in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and should have passed in each of them and 40% marks in each of the subject for SC/ST Candidates

- Entrance exam: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test commonly abbreviated as NEET.

- Seats: 180 (BAMS)

- Reservation: 50 percent seats for Gujarat state candidates and 15% for All India quota.

The B. Tech graduates from Gujarat Technological University (GTU) are offered very attractive packages that range between INR 4.5- INR 6.5 lakhs per annum.
